Science Fair
Register Now for the 2016 Cashell Elementary School Science Fair! The Cashell Science Fair will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 7-8:15 p.m. Students who would like to participate must ask their parents to register them online at: www.surveymonkey.com/s/2016_Cashell_Science_Fair. For the first time, the Cashell Elementary School PTA will only be accepting online registrations for the science fair. This is to reduce the administrative burden of organizing the science fair as well as to reduce the number of typographical errors in the program. For questions, contact Elizabeth McAndrew-Benavides at emb@nei.org.

PTA Board and Committee Members
We need to begin our search for new Board and Committee members.   Nominations are collected starting in March and voting takes place in May.  The PTA can not exist without a Treasurer or President.  Terms are 2 years long, so I will not be able to serve next year.  If you are interested in serving on the Board or a Committee, please let us know.

Foreign Language Classes
FLES is coming to Cashell Elementary! Big Learning Foreign Language: FLES offers quality, immersion-based foreign language classes in Spanish, Mandarin Chinese and French for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Children have fun and enjoy learning new languages from native speakers as they explore foreign lands through exciting stories, high energy games, and imaginative interactive activities. With FLES, children gain confidence in hearing and speaking a new language and cultural awareness – opening their doors to a global 21st century.  FLES will be offering Introductory to Advance Level courses starting in February on Tuesday mornings before school and Friday mornings for the Advance course. Look for a flier in your child’s Wednesday folder with more information and how to register. Or email Rana Oriolo at Ranaoriolo@gmail.com for more information.
